The U.S. is a big country, and its scenic drives are even bigger. We've gathered together some of our favorite drives in the U.S., all of which are perfect for taking on in one day (or less) and where you can take that perfect sexy selfie of yourself to enjoy for years to come. While we're not exactly experts on American roads, we do have some experience driving cross-country and finding interesting places to stop along the way—and these five drives are some of our favorites!
- Going-to-the-Sun Road
Going-to-the-Sun Road is a 46-mile-long drive that runs through Glacier National Park, a perfect setting for taking topless selfies along the way. The road is closed in the winter but is open between June and September. This scenic route can be very busy during peak season, but traffic tends to decrease as you head further north into the park.
The road runs along both sides of Going-to-the-Sun Mountain (also known as Logan Pass), crossing it at an elevation of 6892 feet above sea level — one of the highest points along its path. It’s also one of America’s most scenic drives, with plenty to see while driving along this narrow winding road that has many switchbacks over several miles before reaching its destination at Lake McDonald Lodge or St Mary Visitor Center.
- Pacific Coast Highway
The Pacific Coast Highway is a scenic highway that runs along the Pacific Coast. It runs from San Diego to Oregon and is also known as Route 1. The highway is famous for its views of the Pacific Ocean. It's also known as the "Coast Road." Where you might want to find a spot and take your top off for some topless selfies overlooking the ocean.
The PCH offers something for everyone: boating, surfing, hiking, and whale watching are popular activities along this route. If you want to enjoy some rare peace or just want to escape from reality for a few days, then this road trip is perfect for you!

It runs along the Pacific Ocean and offers beautiful views of mountains and beaches. If you're looking for a place to escape from reality and enjoy some peace and quiet, then this road trip is perfect for you!
- Overseas Highway
The Overseas Highway is a series of bridges and causeways that connect Key Largo to the Upper Keys, a popular tourist attraction. It runs alongside the Gulf of Mexico for nearly 100 miles and passes through several islands, including Key West. This route is famous for its views of that beautiful body of water—as well as for its narrow lanes and lack of guardrails.
The Florida Keys are no stranger to hurricanes (remember Hurricane Irma?), so this drive isn't easy on your car; but if you can manage it safely, it's worth it—especially since there's so much else going on here besides great driving!
- Loneliest Road in America
Humboldt County Road 34 is a lonely stretch of road that runs between the towns of Austin, Nevada, and Fields, Nevada. It offers perfect spots to take nude selfies with beautiful scenery as a backdrop. The road has no services and only passes through a few small towns. The entire drive from Las Vegas to Ely, Nevada takes about four hours.
The road is part of the state highway system but doesn't have an official name until you reach Ely, where it becomes Route 507.
The road is well maintained and has few turns until you get to the town of Austin, where it becomes very curvy. The road passes through several small towns along its route, including Rhyolite, Beatty, and Goldfield.
- Route 66
The most famous road in the U.S., who wouldn’t want to take a sexy selfie while driving this memorable highway? Route 66 was built during the Great Depression and runs from Chicago to Los Angeles. It was commissioned by President Herbert Hoover as part of an initiative to create jobs and stimulate the economy, but it wasn't until after World War II that it became a major route for Americans looking to escape cities for rural areas or vacation spots on the West Coast. The road has a rich history and many attractions along its 2,448 miles.
The road was originally named the National Old Trails Road and later, the Old Santa Fe Trail. It was officially designated Route 66 in 1926 when it became one of the first roads to be paved with concrete.
